In response to COVID, we have shifted our immediate focus to providing hot meals, free-of-charge, for our most vulnerable community members. Our goal is to provide meals to BIPoC (Black, Indigenous People of Color) living in Upper Manhattan and the Bronx. We are prioritizing essential workers, the elderly, and folks being released from prisons.
We are grateful to be receiving food donations from local farms in NYC and we are partnering with Mutual Aid groups in the Bronx and Northern Manhattan.
Our cooking team is being led by Chef Raina Robinson and we are preparing our meals at Hot Bread Kitchen in East Harlem. We are currently accepting donations for non-food related materials and to pay our team for labor. Donate using the link below or you can send donation via Venmo to @WokeFoods.
Sending you healing and strength during this time.
